Dr. F. Hall Reynolds

Dr. Reynolds is a native Chattanoogan and attended Northside Junior High and Chattanooga City High School. He graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then graduated from medical school at The University of Tennessee in Memphis. His postgraduate training occurred at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, and The University of London.


He joined Dr. Samuel Banks at the Chattanooga Skin & Cancer Clinic in 1997, and is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee and in the State of Georgia. He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Medical Specialties, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Physician Specialists.


He is a member of the Chattanooga and Hamilton County Medical Society, the Tennessee Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Dermatology Society, the Atlanta Association for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, the American Association of Physician Specialists, the American Society for Moh’s Surgery, and is on the medical staff of CHI Memorial Health Care System. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Specialists in Dermatology.

Mark G. Tusa, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Mark Tusa received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy and Agricultural Business from Murray State University in 1998. He attended Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School and graduated in 2004. In 2005, Dr. Tusa completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at East Tennessee State University’s James Quillen College of Medicine.

After completing his Internal Medicine internship, Dr. Tusa went to Wake Forest University and completed a year of dermatology research with Dr. Steven Feldman. This research focused on medication adherence in dermatology. Once he completed his time at Wake Forest, Dr. Tusa went to Texas A&M College of Medicine. His dermatology residency was done at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, which is where all residency programs for Texas A&M were based at that time.

Once he completed his residency, Dr. Tusa became an Assistant Professor in Dermatology at Scott and White Clinics in Temple, Texas and Waco, Texas. He served in this capacity from July 2009 until March 2013. In April of 2013, Dr. Tusa joined the team at Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic.

Dr. Tusa is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. When not caring for patients or continuing to learn about the changes and advancements in dermatology, Dr. Tusa enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.

Lantz, M.D.

Dr. Lantz was born in Ohio and has called Chattanooga home for the last 24 years. He received his Doctorate of Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and then completed his post-graduate internship training at Los Angeles County- University of Southern California Medical Center. He has held board certification since 1980. With completion of a specialized fellowship training in facial plastic surgery with the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive surgery. Dr. Lantz is a premier ENT and facial plastic surgeon. Dr. Lantz is especially pleased to bring his unique talents and skills to the Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic.

Aashish Taneja, MD

Join us in welcoming Dr. Aashish Taneja to Chattanooga and our Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic. He joined CSCC after hearing of our search for additional highly qualified dermatologists from his medical school colleague and our own Dr. Mark Tusa.

Dr. Taneja was born in Chicago. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois and his dermatology medical training at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franking University. His residency was at several mid-west hospital medical schools including one with the Veterans Administration. His education has also taken him for stints in South Korea and Hungary. He now has 20 years of experience.

Dr. Taneja says that he likes dermatology as a specialty because it gives him the opportunity to help so many people with such varied needs. He recognizes how important healthy looking skin can be for individual self-esteem. Patients have commented on his willingness to listen, his compassion, and his ability to make them feel at ease.

Dr. Taneja likes walks in nature so he will be right at home in East Tennessee. Dr. Taneja likes to read, often focusing on spiritual and self help books. And if you’re a cat person, be sure to ask about is feline, Sid. We’ve also heard that he can be tough at the billiards table. Look forward to meeting Dr. Aashish Taneja at our Chattanooga, Cleveland and Jasper offices.

Kathrin Nunes, Certified Physician Assistant

Kathrin received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1995. After graduating from Oglethorpe, Kathrin worked as an Emergency Department Technician at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.

She then received her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, with Honors, from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1998. She completed her clinical rotation in Dermatology at the Florida Medical Clinic in Zephyrhills, Florida in 1998. 

Kathrin then began working as a Certified Physician Assistant at South Bay Internal Medicine in Tampa, Florida from August 1998 until August 2000. Both of these experiences provided her with valuable dermatologic experience and training.

Kathrin then broadened her knowledge base as a Certified Physician Assistant working in the Department of Cardiology at McGuire Veterans Administration in Richmond, Virginia from August 2000 until February 2002. After her time at the VA, Katherin began working at Aesthetic Clinique and Medi Spa in Richmond, Virginia in February 2002. At the Aesthetic Clinique Kathrin was involved in destructive and minor excisional surgeries, shave and punch biopsies, monitor labs, and pathology reports.

Kathrin has been certified with the American Academy of Physician Assistant since 1998 and has been a Society of Dermatology Physician Assistant Diplomat since 2002. She is licensed as a Physician Assistant in the states of Virginia and Florida and has past certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, CPR, and First Aid and Safety.

When she is not working and continuing her education, Kathrin enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also loves to spend time in the outdoors, seeking new adventures.

Philip J. Andrews, N.P.

Philip is a native of New York State. He graduated from Catskill High School and then attended Columbia Greene Community College in Hudson, New York where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing. In 1984 he received his Diploma in Nursing from the Columbia Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. In 1990 he obtained his Associate Degree in Arts from Daytona Beach Community College in Daytona Beach, Florida. From there, he enrolled at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. In 1996 he completed his Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Florida at Shands in Gainesville, Florida.

In addition to his degrees, Philip has completed ten educational courses on topics including Mohs Micrograph, chemosurgery, histotechnology, injection sclerotherapy, laser physics and safety, ultrasound assistance for the treatment of varicose disease, laser treatment of vascular lesions, laser hair removal, and more. Philip continues to learn as much as he can in order to provide the highest level of care to his patients.

He is a registered nurse and is certified in emergency nursing and critical care nursing. He is also Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners Family Practice certified, is certified with the American Association Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, and has certification as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner. Philip has been practicing as a nurse since 1984 and has been with Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic as a nurse practitioner since 2002. He has also had hospital affiliation with Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia since 1996.

Outside of work, Philip is on the Speakers Bureau for Graceway Pharmaceuticals and enjoys spending time with his wife. He lives in Ooltewah and enjoys all that Chattanooga has to offer.

Brandie Hamlen, N.P.

Brandie Hamlen is a Board Certified Dermatology Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Walden University with honors where she received a Master of Science Degree in Nursing. She has worked with Dr. Samuel Banks and Dr. Mark Tusa at Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic for 14 years to expand her knowledge in Dermatology. She graduated from Northeast Alabama Community College with her Associate in Science Degree in Nursing in 2004.

Brandie joined the Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic team in 2007. She enjoys working for a company that supports the community by offering support and understanding to the patients. She is licensed and qualified to diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of dermatologic conditions. She finds dermatology to be rewarding as well as challenging. Brandie aims to create a meaningful relationship with her patients by listening and being responsive to their needs and keeping them informed on the health of their skin.

Brandie is from Sand Mountain where she resides with her husband and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.

Rachel Asquith, N.P.

Rachel is a Chattanooga native. She graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2015 at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, graduating with honors. She also obtained her post master's Adult Gerontology Acute Care certificate from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2017. She began her career in the intensive care unit as a bedside RN before transitioning to cardiology as a nurse practitioner. Rachel has a passion for caring for dermatology patients. She enjoys active communication and collaborative care with her patients. 

Rachel resides with her husband in North Chattanooga. In her free time she enjoys taking advantage of the wide range of outdoor activities in the Tennessee Valley. She also enjoys live music, travel, and spending time with her dog.

Jamie Slagle, N.P.

Jamie was born and raised in the Johnson City, Tennessee area. During high school and college, she lived in central Texas. She graduated with her Bachelors of Nursing Degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. Jamie moved back to Tennessee to the Chattanooga area to be closer to family. She has worked in dermatology for over 5 years. Jamie is now a board certified nurse practitioner after graduating with her Master’s Degree from Southern Adventist University. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nephews and niece, and traveling.

John Dowlen, N.P.

A native of Signal Mountain, John returned home to serve the Chattanooga area as a Nurse Practitioner after completing a BA in English at Furman University, a Masters of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary, and a Masters of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University. Prior to specializing in dermatology, John worked in primary care, where he partnered with patients across the lifespan. Through his internal medicine experience John learned to

navigate complex conditions and individualize patient treatment plans with consideration for whole-person health. John brings this thoughtful systems approach as well as thorough and attentive care to his dermatology practice. Having transitioned into the healthcare field after a career in pastoral ministry, John values building collaborative relationships with patients over time.


Outside of the office John enjoys spending time with his wife and their three kids. John is an avid runner, an outdoor enthusiast, and his kids' biggest little league fan.

Hanson Wright, PA-C

Hanson is a Certified Physician Assistant and native to Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Associates of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Georgia in 2018. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Georgia, Hanson continued his work as an Operating Room Assistant in Georgia.

He then continued his education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine receiving a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2022. During his training with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Hanson spent time with Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic developing his skills and knowledge in Dermatology. After graduating with his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, Hanson joined Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic in 2022. Because of his passion for helping patients, Hanson continues to develop his medical knowledge and skills in dermatology to ensure his patients have the best care possible.

Hanson currently resides in the Chattanooga area with his wife and daughter. Outside of work and continuing his knowledge in Dermatology, Hanson enjoys spending time with his family, church, golf, and anything outdoors.

Savannah Williamson, N.P.

Savannah graduated with both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from East Tennessee State University. As a nurse she worked in Oncology, Special Needs , as well as Dermatology.

Savannah joined Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic while she was in high school. filing charts. She went to college, obtained her Bachelor's of Nursing Degree, and began her nursing career. While Savannah considered Oncology and Special needs to rewarding, she found Dermatology to be her true passion. Savannah worked as a nurse in dermatology for about 5 years. She is now board a board certified nurse practitioner. She enjoys developing meaningful relationships with patients and providing collaborative care to meet a common goal. 

Savannah resides with her husband and son in Cleveland. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending church, and exploring new things/places.
